Christmas Gifts

I had a great time getting to do some projects for friends this Christmas. One project in particular was for a friend to give to his wife- their vows in calligraphy. Here are the photos:

Thanksgiving

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Pumpkin... and more pumpkin

After Halloween was over we still had 2 extra pumpkins around. So, we did this...

{We put the 2 pumpkin halves and the seeds in at the same time. You just add 1 cup of water to the bottom of the pumpkin pans, and we sprayed the seed sheet and sprinkled salt on them.

Set the oven for 350 degrees.

The seeds only take about 15-20 minutes.

The pumpkin halves take 90 minutes though!

{Mashing the pumpkin, then made mixtures for a pie, bread loaf and muffins.}

The pumpkin loaf recipe I had I just substituted whole wheat flour for 1 cup and still

did 3/4 cup of regular flour.

I also used raw sugar instead of processed sugar.}

more of an orange color, and we used a large pumpkin.... hence the light color}

Halloween

Well, as long as I'm behind on things... why not go ahead and post them anyway, huh?

Invitation Design

I just finished a looong project :) It was designing the following invitations (along with the RSVP card and doing inner envelope names). It was fun to design something this classy and simple.

Happy Birthday Val!

Friday was my sister's birthday... so, this is a little late.

We had a great weekend going up North to visit her and her husband, as well as my parents! My sister is a blessing in my life and though we didn't always get along so great (like fighting over clothes in high school :) I'm grateful for more time and conversations that we're able to have now as we get older.
